HAWAII FOOTBALL LEAGUE

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Teams will need to email infophase1sportshawaii@gmail.com 

or call/text 808-800-7150 

with AGE DIVISIONS that your organization will be playing in. 

Once you get confirmation that your teams are set up in ZORTS, you will be able to have your players register individually.

Hawaii Football League will be sanctioned under AAU Flag Football. We are allowing 3 AAU Certified Coaches on the sideline and 1 Team administrator who also needs an AAU membership.

Coaches will register on the same link provided for the players. There is now a $5 discount for doing it direct on Zorts. 

Coaches will get:

1. Coaches Zorts Card

2. Background Check

3. AAU Membership

AGE DIVISIONS COED (5v5 flag): 4u, 6u, 8u, 10u, 12u, 14u

AGE DIVISIONS GIRLS (5v5 Flag): 12u, 14u, 17u

Early registration fee:

$80 per player from November 11, 2024 - December 31, 2024

Regular registration fee: 

$120 per player from January 1, 2025 - January 5, 2025

Each​ Player will be required to purchase a Zorts Players Card if you don’t already have one. This is a one time fee of $12.95 & good for 1 yr from the date purchased. It can be used for any organization that uses Zorts. Players Card is to ensure Age Verification. 

Each Player will need to be a member of AAU.

This is a one time $20 fee and good until September 2025. 

YOU WILL BE ABLE TO TAKE CARE OF THE REGISTRATION FEE, PLAYERS CARD FEE & PLAYER AAU MEMBERSHIP UPON REGISTRATION IN ZORTS.

HERE ARE YOU SIMPLE STEPS TO GET REGISTERED!

Step 1: Your Team/Organization must have an AAU Club Code:

Click here to obtain your AAU Club Code for as low as $30 for your entire organization. This code can be used to insure your practices as well as league/tournament play.

Do not register if you do not have a team. Be sure that you were approved to play for a team before you register. There will be NO REFUNDS once you register. Please be sure that you will be playing. 

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

1. What’s the age cut off?

January 1, 2025

2. Can the female players play down a division?

No, we found that girls at the younger ages are normally a little more advanced than the boys at the same age. They will play in the same age division that they qualify for.

3. What are the double roster fee? 

Double Roster Fee is 1/2 of the fee you pay for the first team. For ex. - $80 reg fee, double roster fee $40 (you will need to ask for the double roster promo code) 

4. Do the head coaches get on free player?

Yes, head coach gets 1 free player per team for volunteering their time to our keiki. (You will need to ask for the promo code)

5. How will you control illegal players playing in wrong age groups? This is why we use the Zorts platform for registration. Each player will be required to purchase a Zorts Players Card $12.95 which is good for 1 year. This players card is how we verify their age. We have a great system in place on game days that will make if difficult to have illegal players on the field.

6. Do you have parking? 

Yes, we have ample parking for everyone Parking will not be an issue.

7. Do you have enough restrooms?

Yes we have ample amount of restrooms

8. Will your league be a NO-TOLERANCE league?

100% we will not tolerate any negative behaviors.

9. Will coaches need to get certified to coach?

Yes, we are sanctioned under AAU Flag Football & 7v7. Coaches will need to get an AAU Coach Membership to become a certified AAU Coach.

10. Can players play on more than one team with in the age division? 

No, players are not allowed to double roster with in the age division. For example- player can’t play on two 8u teams.

League Mission:

The mission of Hawaii Football League is to develop and encourage the ideals of responsibility, hard work, sportsmanship and teamwork within a safe and positive environment. The individual development of our community’s keiki is enhanced through the spirit of competition, discipline and fair play. 

 

HFL Code of Conduct: 

It is imperative that parents follow this code of conduct when their child is participating on a team of the Hawaii Football League. 

True sports success is accomplished when all parents demonstrate the six pillars of character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and good citizenship.

I will learn to the best of my ability, the rules and regulations of the Hawaii Football League.

I will always be a positive role model for the children.

I will always remember that my child is participating for the experience and the fun of the game, not for winning.

I will encourage my child and the other team players.

I will demonstrate respect, courtesy, and good sportsmanship.

I will not encourage any negative behaviors between the players, or with other parents, coaches, officials, etc.

I will explain to my child the importance of playing by the rules.

I will teach my child to treat other players, coaches, officials, etc. with respect and courtesy.

I will encourage my child to do his/her best.

I will support the drug free environment that the HFL is providing for my child, and will refrain from any use at any and all of the practices and games.

I will inform the coach of any disability that my child has, to ensure my child’s safety in practices and games.

I understand that if I do not follow the rules of the “Parents Code of Conduct” that my child may not be permitted to continue participation during this season or future seasons.

The Hawaii Football League Reserves the Right to remove any Parent or Player that we feel has demonstrated misconduct, is not following the “Parents Code of Conduct” or the rules and regulations.
